Welcome 2022 Young Citizens
Congratulations to the 2022 Young Citizens for their work in preparing their Heritage Fair or other Canadian history research project and for editing their video. It’s so nice to see the different stories they captured through the lens of their camera. Once again BRAVO to each participant!
As part of the eleventh edition of the Young Citizens program, we proudly welcome even more students into our nation-wide community of young storytellers. We hope you enjoy watching a brand new selection of videos, and we also invite you to view the videos of past participants.
As you visit the profiles of our 2022 cohort, we would like you to take a moment to encourage each of the participants by leaving constructive comments. A space has been provided for this purpose on each of their personal pages. You can also vote for your favourite videos at this time.
The online vote will be available June 10 at 9:00 am Eastern Time. To vote, visit a profile page and click on the “vote” button. This button will not be visible until the vote opens. You will need a valid email address and will only be able to submit one vote per video. Voting will remain open until 11:59 pm (Eastern Time) on July 1, 2022. The results of the vote will make up part of your overall score.
You can share your favourite videos via Facebook and Twitter by clicking on the social media links on your profile page. This is one of the easiest ways to obtain votes.
After the vote, the judges will review the videos and select four recipients.
Thank you once again for contributing to the program and supporting the Young Citizens of 2022. Good luck to all those who take part in this great adventure!
