Have You Seen the Moccasin Telegraph?

Do you have any issues of the Moccasin Telegraph magazines? We need your help!

Posted September 13, 2018

The Moccasin Telegraph was created as a staff magazine for the Northern Stores Division of Hudson’s Bay Company.

Published in English between 1941 and 1990, and in French between 1964 and 1990, it provides unduplicated insight into the economic and social history of Canada’s North in the last half of the twentieth century.

If you have any English or French copies that are in good condition and you are willing to donate (or loan for NON-destructive scanning) please contact us at: webeditor@canadashistory.ca.

When emailing, please tell us what language the issue is in, list each issue you have by date (eg., Summer 1944, January 1946, Winter 1966) and indicate if they are in poor, fair, or good condition. We will follow-up with you at a later date.

Please DO NOT send us your prized issues without contacting us first.

Please note: We are unable to provide a charitable tax receipt as there is no way to determine fair market value on past magazine issues.
