The Basques: Taking Part in Culture
In the past 60 years, Les Basques has had a strong relationship with the arts. Today, theatre, dance, spoken word and other forms of artistic expression are part of the cultural landscape that distinguished the area from others around it. Soraïda Caron and Wina Forget are two of many local artists that enrich this fertile tradition and are a living proof that theatre and dance thrives outside of big city centers. Using their environment as inspiration, they both further anchor their disciplines into the local culture.
