With municipal, provincial, territorial and federal election campaigns underway at any given time in Canada, we decided to present a list of new and recently published books about Canadian political history.

These titles include a compilation of important political speeches, a volume about Canadian political cartoons, and a collection of stories that reveal Indigenous perspectives on history.

Other books explore the evolution of prime ministerial power, immigration during the Cold War, events leading up to the 1970 October Crisis, and other aspects of Canadian politics.
