Welcome 2023 Young Citizens
Congratulations to the 2023 Young Citizens for their work in preparing their research projects and editing their videos. Whether they completed their projects as part of Heritage Fairs, for a classroom assignment, or on their own, these students explored stories that matter to them and that contribute to our understanding of Canada’s past. Bravo to each participant and thank you for sharing your work!
As part of the twelfth edition of the Young Citizens program, we proudly welcome even more students into our nation-wide community of young storytellers. We hope you enjoy watching a brand new selection of videos, and we also invite you to view the videos of past participants.
As you visit the profiles of our 2023 cohort, take a moment to encourage each of the participants by leaving positive comments. A space has been provided for this purpose on each of their personal pages. You can also vote for your favourite videos at this time.
To vote, visit a profile page and click on the “vote” button. You will need a valid email address and will only be able to submit one vote per video. Voting will remain open until 11:59 pm (Eastern Time) on July 2, 2023. The results of the vote will make up part of the overall score.
You can share your favourite videos via Facebook and Twitter by clicking on the social media links on a profile page. This is one of the easiest ways to obtain votes.
After the vote, the judges will review the videos and select four recipients.
Thank you once again for contributing to the program and supporting the Young Citizens of 2023. Good luck to all those who take part in this great adventure!
